Why work with Mareeba rather than just the vendor?

Firstly, there are various points in a project when you may need an independent perspective. For example, when starting out companies often find it time-consuming and frustrating cutting through the ‘noise’ of claims, counter claims, misinformation and marketing hype. Or, late in the life of a system, when companies might be wrestling with a decision as to whether to stay with an existing vendor or move on. With no axe to grind we can provide the independent insight that can help determine the most appropriate route forward.

Secondly, we have a proven track record of delivering high pay-back projects. This stems from an approach which blends our knowledge of the technology with our depth of experience of the practical ways in which CRM can benefit the bottom line. Invariably we will identify applications of the technology which the customer was previously unaware of, but which deliver a profound positive impact on profitability. We back this up with the ability to help introduce the business process changes that are required to make a project a success.

How long is a typical engagement?

This varies according to size and complexity, but our programmes are geared to the needs and budgets of mid-sized companies – so for example an average CRM planning exercise would take about five days. But we have a very flexible approach, so for some companies we may simply provide ad hoc telephone consultancy, or help address specific issues and areas of concern.

To avoid any surprises, we define the time and costs involved in each project up front – and then stick to it.

How ‘independent’ is independent

Firstly unlike some consultancies we don’t sell software. We don’t believe this fosters a truly unbiased perspective. Secondly our engagement is exclusively with the client. The client provides our sole source of compensation. We don’t receive commissions, payments or other incentives of any kind from vendors.

What sort of clients do you work with?

We work with a very diverse client base. Typically they are organisations turning over between £5 and £200 million, but we have customers both sides of that figure – in a wide range of market sectors.
